ACTION:
This formula is designed to actively support anti-oxidant activity. KEY INGREDIENTS:
VITAMIN C: It has a long history as an antioxidant that works in all systems of the body. As a water-soluble antioxidant, Vitamin C is in a unique position to "scavenge" aqueous peroxyl radicals before these destructive substances have a chance to damage the lipids. It works along with Vitamin E, a fat-soluble antioxidant, and the enzyme Glutathione to stop free radical chain reactions. It is required for tissue growth and repair and adrenal gland function. Humans, unlike most animals, cannot make their own Vitamin C and can only store it. We store Vitamin C in a system in the adrenals called the ascorbate system and stress can deplete our store of Vitamin C.
VITAMIN A (Beta Carotene): Like all other carotenoids, beta-carotene is an antioxidant. It protects the body from damaging molecules called free radicals. Free radicals cause damage to cells through a process known as oxidation. Over time, this damage may lead to a number of chronic illnesses.
VITAMIN B-6 (PYRI-5-PHOS): Vitamin B6 is an antioxidant found in meat, poultry, fish, and beans. It is needed for more than 100 enzymes involved in protein and red blood cell metabolism. It is important for the immune system and the production of white blood cells.
COQ10: A powerful antioxidant known to support proper heart and blood pressure function. This vitamin-like substance is, by nature, present in all human cells and responsible for the production of the body’s own energy. In each human cell food energy is converted into energy for our body in the mitochondria with the aid of COQ10.
GRAPE SEED EXTRACT: The antioxidant actions of proanthyocyanidins (Grape Seed Extract) are about 50 times greater than Vitamin C or E. The free radical activity of proanthocyanidins protects the cells against water and fat soluble free radicals. Its chemical structure is incorporated within cell membranes. Antioxidants prevent the oxidation of cholesterol and its carrier proteins as well as preventing initial damage to the artery which ultimately leads to the process of atherosclerosis. Only grape seed extract contains the Gallic ester of proanthocyanidins. These compounds are the most active free radical scavenging proanthocyanidins.
GALACTOMANNON: An all natural fiber which expands 50 times its size in the stomach, helping to clean the intestinal tract by attaching to cholesterol and triglycerides to flush them out. In addition to helping lower cholesterol levels, it also helps to curb the appetite and lengthen time until hungry again to support healthy weight loss.
GLUTATHIONE: An antioxidant. One of only 2 antioxidants which is produced in the body. Unfortunately poor diet, pollution, toxins, medications, stress, trauma, aging, infections, and radiation all deplete your glutathione. This leaves you susceptible to unrestrained cell disintegration from oxidative stress and free radicals. If your liver gets overloaded and damaged, it becomes unable to do its job of detoxification.
