ST. JOHNS WORT** Standardized Extract 150 mg. (Hypericum perforatum): The historical use of medical St. John's wort is well documented. The first recorded use of Hypericum for medicinal purposes dates back to ancient Greece, and it has been used ever since. Hypericum was also used by Native Americans. Commencing 2400 years ago St. John's Wort was used as a nerve tonic, a painkiller for arthritis, menstrual cramping, gastrointestinal problems (such as diarrhea, nausea) as well as ulcers. St John's Wort is today most widely known as an herbal treatment for depression. In some countries, such as Germany, Hypericum is prescribed for mild depression far more commonly than synthetic antidepressant medication. In most countries, standardized extracts are available over the counter – usually in tablet or capsule form, and also in teabags and tinctures.The effect mechanism is believed to be the inhibition of monoamine oxidase (MAO).
GOTU KOLA 145 mg. (Hydrocotyle asiatica): Studies show that Gotu Kola relieves stress and anxiety. It is known as a powerful brain tonic and is known for its ability to enhance mental ability. It supports and improves comprehension, memory and recollection. Primary evidence suggests that Gotu Kola may be used to revitalize the brain and nervous system, increase attention span and concentration. SIBERIAN GINSENG ROOT (Eleutherococcus senticosis): Provides an adaptogenic effect. Ginseng has long been used to strengthen vitality and act as a tonic.It helps the body to regenerate the glands and has been found effective in aiding the body to handle stress. L-TYROSINE: A common deficiency which can adversely affect brain function. L-Tyrosine is an amino acid.
