ACTION:

KEY INGREDIENTS:
PEPSIN: This is a digestive enzyme, produced in the gastric juices, which converts proteins into proteoses and peptones. It is employed in gastric disorders associated with difficulty in the digestion of protein.
PANCREATIN NF: Pancreatic enzymes can be used for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, a condition in which food is not properly digested because the pancreas does not make an adequate amount of digestive enzymes. It is also a general digestive aid.
AMYLASE: An enzyme that catalyzes the breakdown of starch into sugars. Amylase is present in human saliva, where it begins the chemical process of digestion.
BROMELAIN: This is used to break down and digest proteins. It is very useful when the pancreas is not functioning properly. It also aids in reducing swelling and inflammation.
PAPAIN: This is a proteolytic (protein-dissolving) enzyme extracted from the milky white layer of unripe papaya fruit. Papain is a very good digestive aid for those who have problems digesting proteins. It is also useful for pain relief and heartburn.
EXTRACT OF BILE SALT: Aids with the digestion of fats and fat-soluble vitamins.
LYSINE HCL: L-Lysine is an essential amino acid and is a basic building block of all protein. It is not manufactured within the body and must be obtained through diet or by supplementation. L-Lysine helps the body absorb calcium, and supports the creation of collagen, which builds connective tissue.
TRYPSIN: Trypsin and chymotrypsin are substances released from the pancreas during normal digestion. Trypsin in the duodenum acts to hydrolyze peptides into amino acids. This is a necessary step in protein absorption because peptides (though smaller than proteins) are too big to be absorbed through the lining of the small intestine.
DUODENUM SUBSTANCE: The protein derived from this duodenum substance helps to rebuild and repair the duodenum.
DIASTASE: An enzyme which catalyzes the breakdown of starch and carbohydrates.
STOMACH SUBSTANCE: The protein derived from this stomach substance helps to rebuild and repair the stomach.
GINGER ROOT: It reduces spasms, cramping, indigestion, and nausea. It fights inflammation, cleanses the colon and aids digestion by relieving gas and bloating. It has been used for heartburn, ulcers, and motion sickness.
ZINC GLUCONATE: Zinc is an essential trace mineral. Among its many functions it assists in the maintenance of the digestive system. It plays a role in proper absorption of vitamins and protein synthesis.
GLUTAMIC ACID HCL: Glutamic Acid HCl, is one of the 20 proteinogenic amino acids and this amino acid occurs naturally in the human body. Glutamic Acid HCl is also essential as a supplement to aid digestion. Glutamic Acid HCl is known to be effective in the treatment of many digestive problems.
