KEY INGREDIENTS:
ECHINACEA ROOT (Echinacea angustifolia) 200 mg: A bitter herb which has antibiotic, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties and is good for the immune system, lymphatic system and glandular swelling. Recent research indicates that Echinacea neutralizes hyaluronidase, an enzyme produced by invading bacteria. This enzyme tends to break down hyaluronic acids, which is the intercellular binding substance of tissues. Therefore, Echinacea inhibits the invasion of patterns of bacteria into the tissues of the body. Some theories are that Echinacea activates the production of interferon.
GOLDENSEAL ROOT (Hydrastis canadensis) 100 mg: A bitter herb that strengthens the immune system, acts as an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial, cleanses mucus membranes, soothes inflamed tissues, and stimulates the central nervous system. Because of its hydrastine alkaloid, it is a specific for healing the mucus membranes or inflamed tissue in the body.
CAUTION: Do not take Goldenseal without first talking to your doctor if you have high blood pressure, a bleeding disorder, a blood clotting disorder, or if you take medicine to control any of these conditions.
PROPOLIS (Bee Hive Glue): This herb is a product of the manufacture of the bee hive and is produced in minute quantities. Efforts to collect it is rewarding as it has effective antibacterial and antifungal properties.
MYRRH GUM (Myrrha): Myrrh triggers increased manufacture of white blood cells which make it especially helpful in fighting infections with pus.
SPIRULINA (Spirulina platensis): High in Vitamin 'A' and chlorophyl. Spirulina is important in combating infection. It also counteracts a known side effect of Goldenseal, that is, depletion of 'B' vitamins, through the naturally occurring 'B' vitamins found broad spectrum in the Spirulina.
GARLIC (Allium Sativa): Garlic, a known total body tonic, helps activate the immune system but also has antimicrobial and antifungal effect as well.
