PASSION FLOWER (Passiflora incarnata):  A nervine, it is indicated for nervousness due to mental stress, exhaustion or excitement. It is also a specific for spasms or even convulsions. This herb is considered effective as an antispasmodic and a sedative. It is safe to use over long periods with and is beneficial for those with insomnia.

BLACK COHOSH ROOT (Cimicifuga racemosa):  Considered an analgesic and an anti-spasmodic, Black Cohosh tends to relieve nagging aches and pains of the day so sleep can follow. It is also considered an anti-rheumatic and a specific for low back pain particularly when contributed to by uterine or prostate dysfunction. It is also a specific for aches and pains related to the menstrual cycle as well as the menopausal period.

HOPS CONCENTRATE (Humulus lupulus):  A sedative and nervine, Hops is a specific for exhaustion and nervous tension. It is used for nervousness, irritability, a disposition to brood over trouble, delirium, insomnia, cerebral hyperemia, and mental irritability. It tends to allay irritations and produce sleep. Hops are also specific for the digestive system, in particular the stomach. It can improve the tone of the stomach muscles.

GERMAN CHAMOMILE FLOWERS (Matricaria chamomilla):  A nervine and a sedative, Chamomile also tends to subdue nervous irritability as well as irritations of the gastro-intestinal tract. It is specific for gynecological problems, and has a carminative quality therefore helps relieve gas of the intestinal tract. Chamomile and Hops complement each other.

LEMON BALM (Melissa officinalis): Considered a carminative, Lemon Balm, is soothing to the intestinal tract. Lemon Balm is a mild relaxant and has a sedative action. It helps buffer the effect of Black Cohosh, which may tend to upset the stomach.
